The 2024 BottleRock Festival will take place in Napa Valley, California, from 24 May to 26 May and will feature headlines set by Stevie Nicks, Pearl Jam, Mana, and Ed Sheeran.
The lineup also features Megan Thee Stallion, Kali Uchis, The Offspring, Dominic Fike, The Kid LAROI, Nelly, Oliver Tree, T-Pain, Cold War Kids, Miike Snow, Norah Jones, Bebe Rexha, Queens of the Stone Age, My Morning Jacket and St. Vincent. The three-day admission tickets are available on the festival’s website and will go on sale from 9 January for $456/ person.
The first-ever Bottlerock festival happened in May 2013, including Jackson Brown, Zac Brown Band, Jane’s Addiction, and the Black Crowes.
The event massed in the later years and involved everyone from Bruno Mars to Outkast to Heartbreakers and Tom Petty, Promise of the Real, Neil Young, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, and the Cure.
Pearl Jam’s first appearance
Pearl Jam is going to be attending the festival for the first time. Additionally, it’s the sole scheduled date in North America; nevertheless, in July, they have two events in Europe.
Uncertainty surrounds whether they will schedule further U.S. concerts during Bootlerock, although they are collaborating with producer Andrew Watt on a follow-up, the 2020s Gigaton.
Mike McCready’s Remarks
He said people wouldn’t believe how much heavier it is. There is the original pair of LPs’ melody and vigor. They’ve not played as forcefully, melodiously, or thoughtfully as we have in a long time, thanks to Andrew’s encouragement.
There are aspects of Matt Cameron’s drumming that remind me of his work with Soundgarden. This past year, they were working with [Watt] in the studio, and he whipped our asses and put us into the zone so they could play song after song. Gigaton was a laborious process to create, but this new one was completed quickly.
BottleRock lineup is rounded
The 2024 lineup is rounded by Stephen Sanchez, The Soul Rebels feat: Talib Kweli, Jessie Murph, Action Bronson, Cannons, The Record Company, Colony House, Holly Humberstone, Monsieur Periné, Chevy Metal, Gogol, The Beaches Bordello, Jack Kays, The Moss, All-Time Low, BoyWithUke, Stephen Marley, Pete Yorn, LaRussell, Royel Otis, Tower of Power, Loveless, and Dehd.
As per the organizers, rock stars and famous chefs will do cooking demonstrations, celebrities, and other performances will be shown on the Culinary Stage of Williams-Sonoma, and the details will be revealed slowly.
Nick’s Appearance
Nicks was scheduled to perform at the 2020 festival, but the pandemic forced a postponement. She later canceled her 2021 engagement due to COVID-19 fears.
The 2021 event was scheduled to take place in December at San Francisco’s Chase Centre and feature songs from both her solo albums and Fleetwood Mac hits.
Maná gave performances in September at the Golden 1 Centre in Sacramento and the SAP Centre in San Jose. Pearl Jam performed in the Oakland Arena in 2022 to commemorate their return to the Bay Area.
The inaugural Festival La Onda, a concert with a Latin music theme presented by BottleRock, would take place the following weekend at the Napa Expo and feature the Latin pop rock music titans Maná as headliners.
Ed Sheeran’s Appearance
Sheeran’s performance at the event follows his record-breaking gig at Levi’s Stadium in September of last year, which drew close to 80,000 attendees, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
About the Event
The event is jointly owned and run by Live Nation and Lattitude 38 of Napa Valley and has had enormous success since Lattitude 38 partners Justin Dragoo, David Graham, and Jason Scoggins took control in 2014.
The festival’s essence has always been deeply rooted in Napa’s food and wine sector, but Graham and talent buyer Tom Hoppa have always had a love for discovering BottleRock’s sweet spot in terms of music.
Graham spends a lot of time talking with managers to have a better understanding of the artists’ own career goals, and frequently turns to his partners at Live Nation for outside ideas and recommendations.
As a result, the program features performers from a range of genres and stages of their careers. It will be exciting to see all the artists perform, fans are piling up and can get the desired tickets to see their favorite artist on stage.
