The Good Morning Britain episode of Wednesday had a kick in the head as one TV host, Ed Balls, accidentally kicked the head of his co-star, Susanna Reid.
The aforementioned U.K. news program was having a debate after what happened about whether it was OK to put your feet up in front of you on a plane or train.
Well, the answer was already given by Ed Balls. The segment of this in-flight seating episode on Wednesday also had the regular commentators Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire. Later, there were also words that Reid felt like her eyesight went blurry for around 20 minutes after that kick.
Should you put your feet up on the seats? Know it from Good Morning Britain hosts.
In Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, an accidental moment happened during the segment of in-flight seating, which included the two hosts of the show, Ed Balls and Susanna Reid, along with the regular commentators Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire.
All four of them headed towards the plane’s seat in the studio and got ready for their In-flight segment.
Soon this segment turns into a debate of whether it is OK to put your feet up on the seats. This soon turns into a hilarious moment with the accidental kick of Ed balls to his co-star Susanna Reid, sitting in front of him.
During the segment, the duo was making their way to the mock-up clean seats that were set up in the studio, along with the commentators, where they were about to enact the question of how it is about to put your seat up on the seat in front of you.
While Reid was sitting in front along with Kevin and behind her was sitting Ed beside Andrew, Reid asked, “Is it okay for Ed and Andrew then to…” But before she could complete the sentence, her head got a tough kick from behind, which was accidentally done by Balls.
While Reid was making the question, Balls was trying it behind her, which came out as a complete failure as while he was placing his shoes on the top of the seat in front of him (Reid’s seat), he accidentally kicked her on the head.
Just then, Reid grabbed her head from the back and leaned forward while saying ‘Ow!’ though it was accidentally, but Balls got scared, and he went like, “I’m sorry!”. “I’m sorry. Are you okay?” gasped Balls asked as he rubbed his co-star’s side.
He jumped out of his seat to check on her while he said, “I just caught your head; I’m sorry.”.
The debate, which started with a question, ended with a kicking-off answer as Reid sarcastically said, “I think we’ve decided it’s not okay. There we go,” with a smile.
Knowing that Reid is okay, Balls starts laughing with his hands over his mouth at his on-air faux pas, and to make the situation lighter, he says, ‘hands up’ while admitting his mistake, even though it was accidental.
Whereas Reid continued, “This is our debate in the morning; should you put your feet on the seat?” to which Pierce said, “I think Ed Balls has just answered the question.”
The trailer for the debate on the subject of public transport etiquette has been posted on the X (formerly Twitter) account of ‘Good Morning Britain’, which reads: “You’ve paid for your ticket; whether it’s a plane trip or train ride, why shouldn’t you get comfy? But is it ever okay to put your feet up on the seat? @edballs might have answered that already.”.
As per the reports by The Guardian, it is said that later in the episode, Reid said that her eyesight ‘went blurry for 20 minutes’ after that kick from Balls, who is the UK’s former shadow chancellor.
Earlier, Reid used to host the show along with Piers Morgan until his departure from the ITV show in March 2021, following his controversial comments about Meghan Markle. After that, Ed Balls entered the show in 2021 in his place to host it along with Susanna Reid.
