He tried to convince himself that the tests had not been postponed while he was at the amusement park, so he proceeded to tell So-Yeon. When she decided she did not want to listen to him, his erratic behavior made her feel more pushed.
He lost his mind after witnessing her lose consciousness due to his acts, and for some reason, he believed that it was acceptable to sexually abuse her. His mind rationalized killing Kwon Il-Ha as well once he was captured because he made him feel intimidated that he may lose everything he had worked so hard for. He still felt bad for killing Il-Ha, though.
Even if it was right to justify that he is, guilt was so much that he had pressure on him. And something happened in the school, due to which he developed split personality disorder because of that trauma and pressure. Because of that, he went berserk and later killed the students because he couldn’t bear to lose those points.
Chi-Yeol and Na-Ra were saved because Ae-Seol gathered some courage to stop his attack. He already knew about his actions, but he could not stop the murders. Although he had expressed regret and the fact that each pupil he killed just made his madness worse, he was unable to stop since he had already gotten too far along.
