When AEW released a never-before-seen video of a real-life brawl between former AEW performers CM Punk and Jack Perry backstage at AEW All In in London, it created quite a stir in the wrestling community. The industry was shocked to learn about this information.
CM Punk and Jack Perry’s Backstage Altercation
When Jack Perry, aka the Scapegoat, recently appeared at the NJPW Windy City Riot event in Chicago, the hometown of CM Punk, he made references to Punk. People took notice when Perry entered the room while carrying the Chicago flag and donning a blazer with the words “Cry Me A River” printed on the back.
In an attempt to further enrage CM Punk during their bout, Perry imitated his actions and even tried to use Punk’s signature move, the GTS (Go To Sleep), on Shota Umino. In addition, Perry acknowledged the persistent rumors about him by responding to the crowd’s screams.
In the end, Shota Umino—who honored his instructor Jon Moxley with a Death Rider—won the battle despite Perry’s shenanigans. But Perry’s antics throughout the match have left fans of professional wrestling wondering what will happen next in this fascinating tale.
