The Dreamcatcher Company is a record label and entertainment company. It was founded in 2008 and was known as Harvest Entertainment. After a year, the name of the company changed to Happyface Entertainment. In 2014, Happyface Entertainment merged with YWHO Enterprise, a management agency. It had famous producers E-Tribe. E-Tribe has given many popular songs.
In November 2016, the agency planned to debut a new girl group with seven members as Dreamcatcher. Their concept was different from other girl groups and helped to stand out. Dreamcatcher had a deep and dark theme of dreams and nightmares. The group got praised globally for their songs. They were popularised as the face of rock music in Korea. In 2019, the agency was renamed Dreamcatcher Company.
Dreamcatcher was nominated and received numerous awards. In 2018, they won Promising Artists at Keum Yeong Star Awards. In 2022, they won K Global Best Music Video Award at K Global Heart Dream Awards. In 2023, they won Global Artist Award in North America at Hanteo Music Awards. Dreamcatcher: Debut
Dreamcatcher debuted on 13th January 2017 as a seven-member K-pop girl group. The seven girls were JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon. Five members, JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami, were members of another group, MINX. They debuted on 9th August 2014. After a year, the agency decided to re-debut the girls as a seven-member new group, Dreamcatcher. Their fandom’s name is InSomnia. Their official fan colors are Eerie Black, Burnt Umber, and Cream Can.

JiU is the lead vocalist and dancer of Dreamcatcher. She is the leader of the group. She was born on 17th May 1994 in Daejeon, South Korea. Before debuting as Dreamcatcher, she was a member of MINX. Her MBTI is ENFP. She was a contestant in the YG survival show, MIXNINE 2017. JiU has written and composed songs for her group, Dreamcatcher.
SuA
SuA is the dancer, lead rapper and vocalist of Dreamcatcher. She was born on 10th August 1994 in Changwon, South Korea. Her MBTI is ESFJ. Earlier, she was a member of MINX. She has been the longest trainee among the seven members. She has sang OST for K-drama Minamdang.
Siyeon
