Rookie Cops Synopsis
The drama was an underrated one and deserved more hype. For before we reveal any further information regarding Season 2, let’s take a look at the life of the Rookie Cops, who took us through their journey of friendships, love, and of course, life.
I Finally Found The Purpose Of My Life
The story first starts with us getting an introduction to the characters. Wi Seung Hyeon is the son of Commissioner Wi and stood first in the college entrance exam on his second take. Opposite him, Eun Gang also wants to go to the police university, but with a completely different purpose. She wanted to meet her crush Jang Juchan, who was a student of KNPU or the Korean National Police University. However, fate had a different plan for her, as even after trying hard, she couldn’t get in. Meanwhile, the preliminary training period started, with the trainers being extremely rigorous with the freshers. It was sometimes to such an extent that many freshers left just after a few days. With freshers gone, there was room for new joiners, and Eung Gang received the call she was waiting for, the call for her admission.
Meanwhile, an incident made the authorities and even the media react to it. Someone installed a spy cam that recorded the horrendous ways students were verbally harassed and even sometimes in the name of punishments. The school wanted to take strict action. However, they needed to find out who did the task. While training, a trainer found a cam dropping from the jacket Eung Gang was wearing. As circumstantial evidence, they thought that she was the one and was planning to get expelled. However, Eung Gang repeatedly mentioned that it wasn’t her. For a moment, she thought it was Shin Ari as she was the one who brought the jacket to her.
Later with the help of Seung Hyeon and an urge to prove herself right, Eung Gang finally caught the guilty. However, the one responsible shocked everyone as it was none other than Eung Gang’s roommate Han Na. She did that under the leadership of Detective Namgi, who has a rift with the students of KNPI. With Eung Gang proving her innocence, she also did one thing, which is abolished the Cheongram Education System. All the students became extremely happy, and Seung Hyeon started feeling a little bit closer to her.
‘The Reason I Like Her Is Because She Never Gives Up On People’
Eung Gang got to know that Juchan was dating someone else, and that left her a bit sad. Though she came to the university, she still needs to find the ‘why’ of her life. One day when she, along with Seung Hyeon, caught a thief, that day she finally realized why she wanted to become a police officer. To be able to help people and make them smile is what she desires. Meanwhile, with time Seung Hyeon and Eun Gang develop their bond. On the other hand, a new relationship was making its wings fly. Kim Tak and Shin Ah Ri were starting to like each other.
Meanwhile, Commander Wi seems to have a dark past which is somehow associated with Kim Tak’s older brother Hyunsoo. At the sports competition, Eung Gang was in the lead position, but due to her injury, she ended last in the race. However, she was not the only one as Han Na was also there, and for the first time, she helped Eung Gang, and both of them came together. Though they did end up last, a bond bloomed, making Eung Gang and Han Na a little closer to the beautiful relationship of friendship.
The Beginning Of A Bond Of Love, Laughter, And Life
The series, through its twists and turns, lands into the story of Jo Hansol, a man adored by millions. He seems to have a very strong connection with the higher authorities of the police force. However, a woman was threatening him that she would reveal all his secrets.
By his public image, it’s difficult to even guess the kind of man he is. When the Rookie Cops went on vacation, Seung Hyeon and Eung Gang witnessed the death of the same woman. As a surprising factor they got, they got to know that she’s a friend of Eung Gang’s sister. The case gets deeper, and a video on the dead woman’s laptop reveals the illegal and atrocious activities of Jo Hansol. The Rookie Cops team up and fight against one of the strongest enemies, and they end up victorious. In this entire process, they lost someone dear, Yoon Dae. The series bids farewell with the characters walking beside each other while entering into a new stepping stone in their life.
