Tom Hanks showed his wholesome side by reaching out to his son, Chet Hanks, to understand the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, referring to Chet as “Big Main” in their conversation. Chet shared a screenshot of their exchange on Instagram Stories.
Chet Hanks, known for “White Boy Summer,” explained in a lengthy message that Kendrick Lamar initiated the feud by taking offense to Drake and J. Cole being labeled the “Big 3” in rap.
He described Drake criticizing Lamar’s “small feet,” prompting Lamar to retaliate by accusing Drake of being a “deadbeat dad” to his son Adonis.
“Drake came back and was like, ‘oh yeah? Well I heard you beat your wife’ but literally 30 seconds later Kendrick put out a diss overshadowing Drake’s diss where he pretty much methodically dismantled Drake’s entire psyche and called him a pedophile for flirting with young girls,” the text continued.
Chet continued by breaking down Drake’s response and Lamar’s subsequent release of “another West Coast banger.”
He then drew a comparison between Lamar’s actions and a memory of attending a high school basketball game with Tom Hanks at the actor’s alma mater, referencing the iconic film “Forrest Gump.”
“That was pretty much the sonic equivalent of [that moment],” he explained.
“Like if you heard it you would just automatically know how to Crip walk with a stank face while clutching an Oscar in each hand with Marshawn Lynch, then dap him up and tell him ‘Town Bidness’ which solidified the win not only for Kendrick but the entire West Coast,” Chet concluded.
In response to Chet’s pondering about people taking sides and who’s winning, Chet humorously replied,
“Did you not just read what I said.”
Their conversation occurred one week after Drake and Lamar’s last altercation.
Drake garnered attention earlier this month when a security guard was shot outside his Toronto residence, despite his previous dismissal of pedophilia allegations.
The 48-year-old victim sustained serious injuries in the May 7 shooting. Kendrick Lamar has not been implicated in the incident, and law enforcement officials are still investigating the motive, although they are aware of the ongoing feud between the rappers.
