Hironobu Kageyama’s Musical Performance and Dragon Ball Daima Panel Set for January 28th
More specifics have now been shared about the live stream plans for the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event on January 28th. The special Hironobu Kageyama musical performance and the Dragon Ball Daima panel will both occur on Day 2 of the festival, which is Sunday the 28th.
They are scheduled for 6 pm and 6:30 pm Pacific Standard Time, respectively. Fans around the world will be able to watch them streamed live on YouTube.
Additionally, the event’s website has confirmed that video archives of all the Battle Hour 2024 panels will be available later for fans who miss the live shows, with the exceptions of the Sand Land and Dragon Ball Z re-screenings.
Leading up to this event, enthusiasts have been increasingly excited about the reveals surrounding the new Dragon Ball Daima series.
Recent story synopses have re-confirmed original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s direct involvement in crafting the plot and characters.
However, some fans have also voiced disappointment that there is still no live stream planned for the separate Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero game panel, which marks the return of the classic Sparking fighting series after nearly 20 years.
More About Dragon Ball Daima
The recently revealed name “Daima” for the new Dragon Ball series is a made-up term that translates to “Evil” in Japanese.
A core part of the plot involves Goku and his friends mysteriously becoming small due to some kind of conspiracy. To try to fix this, they embark on a grand adventure to a new, unfamiliar world full of mystery.
Since Goku has to compensate for his reduced size, he breaks out his iconic Power Pole weapon not been seen in Dragon Ball for a long time. Fans can expect intense, cute, and powerful battles because of the heroes’ size difference.
Original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has unveiled he devised the core story, settings, and many character designs for Daima himself.
He says he is putting even more creative effort into this than usual. The story promises to reveal new mysteries relating to the broader Dragon Ball universe.
The creator hopes fans will enjoy these battles which will differ from the usual Dragon Ball fights. The adventure is sure to be both charming and action-packed based on the details we have so far. More specifics will likely be revealed at the upcoming Battle Hour 2024 event.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Trailer Teases Potential Return of Classic Villain
Eagle-eyed fans noticed some intriguing details in the Dragon Ball DAIMA trailer that could hint at the new anime’s main villain.
Specifically, there were shadowy figures watching video footage showing events from the iconic Majin Buu saga of Dragon Ball Z. This included glimpses of villain Babidi and the fearsome Majin Buu.
The fiery, underworld-like setting has sparked speculation that an old demonic foe of the Z Fighters could return. Many theorists now believe this will be none other than Dabura, the formidable King of the Demon Realm.
Origially featured as Babidi’s ruthless lieutenant, Dabura nearly defeated fan favorites Goku and Vegeta with his dark powers before being stopped.
Given the demonic environmental clues in the trailer, Dabura’s threatening design, and his history battling the heroes, bringing this devilish demon king back as the lead antagonist seems a strong possibility.
An extra vengeful and powered-up version of him would certainly give Goku, Vegeta and the gang a run for their money once more.
