About Dr. Stone
The Japanese manga Dr. Stone is a creation of Riichiro Inagaki, as for the illustration it was done by a South Korean artist Boichi. It was published by Shueisha Publications and an English version was given by Viz Media. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine which is the more popular magazine ever published by Shueisha. The manga was released on 6th March 2017 and is fortunately still ongoing. It has given a collection of 24 tankobon volumes which might not increase any further. An anime adaption of the manga was produced by TMS Entertainment and aired from July to December 2019. After that production of Dr. Stone anime was overtaken by 8PAN Studio.
The plot of the series Dr. Stone is set up in the year 2019 AD, at the time a mysterious light flashed out and petrified all the humans alive. It has been around 3700 years since all the humans are frozen like stones. On April 5378 Senku Ishigami a 15-year-old boy suddenly revived out of this state. As he woke up he find himself at a place where is no single trace of human beings. Since he is a prodigy and got extreme knowledge about science and chemicals he began to study petrified humans. He made this his life motive to determine the cause of this petrification and find its cure. After six months Taiju Oki wakes up and Senku finds out that their revival was made possible due to nitric acid. This became a great discovery and he began to develop this compound.
Dr. Stone Manga approaches the finale
The rumors about the end of the Dr. Stone manga were raised from the popular fan page on Twitter that goes by the username WSJ_manga. A tweet was dropped on the page claiming that the manga of Dr. Stone will be ending by next week. If it comes to be true then the manga will be ending in Weekly Shonen Jump #14 and it will most probably close out with a long extended chapter. All these assumptions are totally based on the words posted on the page and not from an official source. Makes it clear that this is simply a rumor until some official words will drop out.
Currently, the manga of Dr. Stone is moving on an arc that is busy addressing some major questions from the whole series. The identity of the main villain is also remaining to be disclosed which makes us doubtful about this rumor. Fans believe that if something like this would happen, it will be notified in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump of Dr. Stone.
