The back story of Ikuno was a bit funnier, of how his hand got so big, but it was made to make us laugh in the first place, so we cannot complain about it.

Overall the fight between Aozora and Ikuno is going pretty well, and we are getting to see actual boxing tactics and techniques in the match rather than some random punches. The next chapter probably concludes their fight, and considering the plot armor, Aozora wins it.

Do Retry Chapter 6 Recap

The chapter starts at Showa 20 in 1945, during the great Tokyo air raid. Ikuno and his younger sister, Rin, were trapped inside an air raid shelter. The landslide damaged his left arm. They could not do anything, and the time simply passed by. Their consciousness started to fade, and it seemed as if their only option was a slow death. However, shockingly Ikuno started to dig through with his right arm. They had nothing to eat or drink for seven days, and what Ikuno did was dig the ground with his right hand.

When the daylight shined into his eyes, Ikuno realized that his right arm had grown abnormally large. We then see Ikuno fighting Aozora in a boxing fight. Ikuno tried to punch Aozora, but he blocked his punch with his hand to lower the impact. Everyone was impressed by Aozora’s performance. Ikuno got frustrated seeing that and charged toward Aozora to attack him, but the referee intervened as the round was over. The audience started to root for Aozora after seeing him going toe-to-toe with Ikuno.

Keiji Told Aozora that Ikuno had always won his matches with one hit so far, so he was clueless about tactics in the ring, and like him, as soon as thing did not go their way, they filled their lid. In boxing, the most composed guys win, so Keiji tells Aozora the way to beat Ikuno. The second round starts and Aozora follows what Keiji tells him to. Keiji had told Aozora to keep an eye on Ikuno from outside his range, and when he came to attack, move closer to the ropes and take the blow.

After that, he told Aozoro to close in without a moment’s delay and keep hitting Ikuno with a smile on his face. Aozora kept hitting Ikuno without letting up, and it made Ikuno nervous enough to move away. And when Ikuno moved away, Aozora punched him in the face. Aozora was winning with Keiji’s tactics. Ikuno got frustrated and went to attack Aozora, but the referee told him to go to the corner as the round was over.

The third round began, and Aozora tried to follow the same thing as he did in the second round, but this time Ikuno did not move from his place like last time. Ikuno punched him out of his range, and the punch was so powerful that Aozora flew outside the ring.
