A new anime series called Bullet/Bullet is coming in the summer of 2025, directed by Sunghoo Park, known for Jujutsu Kaisen and The God of High School. The announcement was made at Disney Content Showcase 2024 in Singapore.
The series will stream exclusively on Disney+ and features an impressive creative team. A trailer, key visual, and staff details were revealed, building excitement for the release.
Sunghoo Park not only directs but also created the original story for Bullet/Bullet. He shared that the project has been in the works for years and is a personal passion of his.
The story focuses on the main character, Gear, and features thrilling car action, strong character development, and impactful music and voice acting.
The production team includes scriptwriter Aki Kindaichi (Uma Musume Cinderella Gray), character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Hunter x Hunter), and mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin (Gundam Evolve).
Shin Misawa (Initial D) will direct the car action sequences, ensuring the anime delivers on its high-speed thrills. The animation is being handled by E&H Production, a studio founded by Park.
He expressed his excitement about working with a team of talented professionals and hopes viewers will connect with the action and emotions in the series. Park emphasized that Bullet/Bullet is filled with passion and creativity.
This series follows Park’s recent success with Ninja Kamui, which performed well on Adult Swim and Cartoon Network.
While rumors of a second season for Ninja Kamui surfaced, no official confirmation has been given. However, Park’s track record adds to the anticipation for his latest project.
Other announcements at the Disney showcase included anime like Twisted Wonderland, a Cat’s Eye reboot, and the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Season 3, which will involve nine Japanese studios.
