Dex Carvey, the actor Dana Carvey’s eldest son, died on Wednesday at the age of 32, according to a statement the couple posted on Instagram on Thursday.

Dex died at home, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Dex pursued a comedy career, following in his father’s footsteps, and opened for his father’s 2016 Netflix special, “Straight White Male.”
