Mayuko Kanba is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa. The black-silhouetted “criminal” who appears in the classic storyline to symbolize the unidentified offenders is the main character in this spin-off of the Detective Conan manga by Gosho Aoyama.
In May 2017, Kanba debuted the manga in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday S. As of October 2021, its chapters had been collected in six tankbon volumes. TMS Entertainment’s adaptation of an animated tv show debuted in October 2022.
Beika Town is a criminal town. This town, which has one of the highest rates of crime in the world, is visited by an enigmatic Dark Shadow. The anime’s main voice cast consists of Shouta Aoi, who portrays Conan Edogawa, Inori Minase, who plays Pometaro, Minami Takayama, who plays Hanzawa-san and As Ran Mori, Wakana Yamazaki makes his appearance.
The anime is being directed by Akitaro Daichi at TMS Entertainment/Studio 1. The characters are created by Fu Chisaka. And the soundtrack is being written by Jun Abe and Seiji Muto.
