The Chinese historic drama Destined is all set to release its next new episodes this week. iQIYI’s original Chinese drama native title is 长风渡 [Chang Feng de]. Directed by Yin Tao, this historical drama has all comedy, romance, politics, and business. The drama is gaining a lot of popularity over the internet because of its amazing storyline.

The main cast of the drama is Bai Jing Ting, the male lead named Gu Jiu Si. Opposite him is the female lead Song Yi playing his love interest Liu Yu Ru. Both have in dating rumors back in 2021, which sparked the success of the drama even more. The audiences were so excited to see their chemistry on-screen.

The historic drama is originally adapted from a webtoon novel, “Chang Feng Du” by Mo Shu Bai. The drama follows the story of a miserable girl Liu Yuru, who spent her childhood in a tough situation. Destined: Synopsis

The story is set in a lovely town in China called Yangzhou. The peculiar son of the Yangzhou family, Gu Jiu Si, was no less than a playboy. He is notorious, playful, and witty and lives his life differently from others. His upbringing leads him to be like this.

Meanwhile, Liu Yu Ru is the only legitimate daughter of a former clothes merchant for the town. She lived a static life with her ill mother. Even spending her life being mistreated at home, she has strong willpower and a loyal character.

From a twist of fate, Jiu Si and Yu Ru got married due to a misunderstanding. Of course, both hated each other since their first meeting. Jiu Si thinks Yu Ru is a very smart and witty person who does everything using her tactics. Whereas Yu Ru thinks Jiu is a spoiled brat from a wealthy family and a playboy. She never imagined herself getting married to a playboy.
