Recently, the younger brother of Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. received a six-year prison sentence. In January 2023, Coban Porter was involved in a drunk driving incident resulting in the death of Kathy Limon Rothman.
The crash claimed Kathy’s life and caused severe injuries to her passengers. Coban admitted guilt, leading to a reduced sentence capped at eight years.
Speeding and intoxicated, Coban’s blood alcohol level was 0.19, well above the legal limit of 0.08. “All I can say is that I am sorry. I know that I am never going to be able to right the wrong. … I never thought I would be standing here. I thought I was invincible. It isn’t the first time I chose to drink and drive. I am so sorry,” said Porter in court.
