Denshattack is expanding its Nintendo Switch 2 release plans with physical editions and a new gameplay update called Rhythm Showdown. Announced on October 20, 2026, the news introduces cartridge-based versions of the game alongside merchandise, soundtrack collections, and additional gameplay features.
Both standard and deluxe physical editions will include the complete game on a cartridge. Fans can also purchase themed merchandise and collectibles through Fangamer, with sign-ups for the physical editions now open.
RHYTHM SHOWDOWN ADDS MUSIC-BASED CHALLENGES

The upcoming Rhythm Showdown mode builds on the music-based mechanics introduced during the Suzuna Sei boss battle. Players will steer their trains along tracks while hitting energy notes in time with selected songs, each featuring its own beat map.
The update will also introduce new trains, cosmetic skins, and quality-of-life improvements. A release date has not yet been announced. Noisy Pixel reports that the mode is planned for multiple platforms.
Fans can also look forward to a three-LP vinyl soundtrack and a four-CD collection through Kid Katana and selected retailers. Vinyl editions will come in Blue, Yellow, and Standard versions, while the CD release includes a music fanzine featuring production anecdotes and behind-the-scenes details.
