Synopsis

Metal Gear Solid is a landmark stealth action-adventure game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and directed by Hideo Kojima. Originally released for the PlayStation in 1998, it revolutionized the stealth genre with cinematic storytelling, tactical gameplay, memorable boss battles, and innovative fourth-wall-breaking mechanics. Players control Solid Snake as he infiltrates the Shadow Moses nuclear weapons facility to stop the FOXHOUND terrorist unit from launching the nuclear-equipped Metal Gear REX. Widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time, Metal Gear Solid established the foundation for the modern stealth genre and became one of the PlayStation’s defining titles.
