The release date and episode count for Date A Live V, one of the eagerly awaited anime franchises returning this Spring, have been revealed.
After the fourth season and Kurumi-led spin-off concluded, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
The Date A Live V anime series is set to continue the television adaptation of Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako’s original light novel series.
It will include familiar faces from the previous seasons as well as new characters, bringing fresh perspectives to the beloved story.
Nobunaga Shimazaki returns as Shido Itsuka, alongside Marina Inoue as Tohka Yatogami, Misuzu Togashi as Origami Tobiichi, Ayana Taketatsu as Kotori Itsuka, and others.
In addition, Aya Endo joins the cast as Mio Takamiya, a mysterious character connected to Shido Itsuka’s past. The series will be directed by Jun Nakagawa at Geek Toys studios, with Fumihiko Shimo overseeing the series script.
Naoto Nakamura returns as the character designer, and Go Sakabe handles the music production.
Expectation
According to the official website, Episode 1 of Date A Live V will be titled Signal Fire of the Opening Battle.
Kotori and Tohka gather aboard the aerial warship Fraxinus, where they learn that Kurumi has traveled back in time 204 times to save Shido.
Meanwhile, Shido sets out to uncover the mystery surrounding Mio Takamiya and his forgotten memories.
Date A Live V continues the legacy of its earlier seasons, which aired in 2013 and 2014 for the first and second seasons.
The third season debuted in January 2019, followed by the fourth season in April 2022. FUNimation streamed the first two seasons and created an English dub, while Crunchyroll streamed the third and fourth seasons.
Date A Live V Episode 1 is set to be a thrilling addition to the franchise, offering fans more of the rich lore, engaging characters, and storyline.
