He related what happened as follows: “And he said, ‘Baby, you are wearing a Cats T-shirt.'” Like in the musical Cats, “The Fifty Shades of Grey actor went on. As it happened, I was having a lot of trouble. However, that instant helped me to rise above it.”

She said, “If saying one little hopeful thing or one maybe relatable thing can help one other person feel a little bit better or a little bit less alone with their experience, then I am a very willing advocate.”
In order to “make sense of some of the complexities of my family life,” including the divorce of her well-known parents, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, she also revealed that her parents had enrolled her in therapy when she was a small child.
“I sort of organically came across many different types of people and modes of therapy as I grew up,” she stated. “I developed a penchant and curiosity for helping others and myself as my understanding grew deeper.”
Dakota Johnson likes to talk about depression with joke punches
The 34-year-old actress acknowledged that she is not the ideal spokesperson and emphasized how difficult it is for her to discuss the problems without making jokes.
Johnson said, “As you can probably tell, I talk about depression and anxiety in a very self-deprecating way most of the time. Maybe if I hide it behind humor, it’s easier for me to face it head-on sometimes.”
She added, “I don’t think it’s a bad thing; it works, it helps me. Covering my pain or anxiety with comedy has become a lifetime tool for me. Because I occasionally cry if I don’t laugh.”
