Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, became the victim of a robbery, losing $40,000 worth of valuables outside her Pilates class.
According to a Dallas Police Department report, the incident occurred on Thursday, December 26, when Ramos arrived for her Pilates session. She rushed inside due to heavy rain, accidentally leaving her vehicle unlocked. Upon returning, she discovered several items, including designer bags, wallets, and computer software, had been stolen.
Additionally, Ramos was alerted that her stolen credit cards were being used at another location. The stolen items included pieces from luxury brands like Chanel, YSL, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada, making the theft particularly costly.
The FBI has previously warned about organized theft rings targeting professional athletes. High-profile names such as Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes have also been victims of similar crimes. According to an FBI report on December 30, these groups originate from South America and conduct detailed investigations to determine where athletes hide their valuables.
“These organized theft groups use advanced tactics, bypass alarm systems, disable devices, and cover security cameras to remain undetected,” the FBI explained. They also encouraged athletes to stay vigilant and adopt preventive measures, such as cataloging valuables and exercising discretion on social media.
Earlier this month, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s Ohio home was burglarized. The incident happened while he was playing a game in Texas on Monday Night Football. Olivia Ponton, rumored to be Burrow’s girlfriend, was at the house when the break-in occurred.
Ponton noticed a shattered window and a ransacked bedroom. She immediately contacted her mother, who called 911. “Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” Ponton’s mother told the dispatcher. “She is wondering if she should hide or leave the house.”
Burrow later addressed the incident, expressing frustration over the invasion of his privacy but refrained from discussing personal details, including his relationship with Ponton.
“Everyone has heard about the incident, and I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one,” he stated. “I have nothing more to add.”
This string of thefts has highlighted growing concerns about the safety and privacy of professional athletes.
