Crimson Desert has received a new hotfix update, bringing several targeted fixes aimed at improving stability and gameplay experience. Developer Pearl Abyss released Patch 1.12.01 across multiple platforms, focusing on issues introduced in the previous content update.

According to the official patch notes, the update is already live on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with rollout on other platforms still in progress.

Hotfix Targets Furniture and Environment Issues

The latest update primarily addresses problems tied to housing and environmental interactions, which had been widely reported by players after the recent patch.

One of the most noticeable fixes resolves an issue where outdoor furniture would unexpectedly disappear. The patch notes confirm: “Fixed an issue where furniture placed outdoors disappeared in certain situations.”

Additional fixes include correcting visual inconsistencies, such as unnatural lighting effects on glass materials. Terrain-related bugs have also been addressed, including a glitch where parts of the environment appeared to float near the Sanctum of Faith.

These changes are aimed at restoring immersion and ensuring that the game world behaves as expected.

Beyond visual adjustments, Patch 1.12.01 also introduces several gameplay-related fixes. Players previously encountered issues with movement mechanics, particularly when interacting with dynamic objects.

The developers have now resolved this, noting: “Fixed an issue where players could not climb onto moving objects in certain situations.” This fix is expected to improve traversal and gameplay flow.

Another fix targets companion behavior, addressing a bug where Skunky would disappear when placed in camp. While minor, such issues can disrupt gameplay, especially for players relying on companions during exploration.

Patch Availability Across Platforms

The hotfix has been rolled out simultaneously across most platforms, reflecting Pearl Abyss’ effort to maintain parity between versions. The update is currently available on:

  • Steam (PC and Mac)
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox

Meanwhile, releases for the Epic Games Store and Mac App Store are still in progress. This staggered rollout is not uncommon, particularly when platform-specific approvals are required.

Known Issues Still Being Addressed

Despite the improvements, several issues remain unresolved. The developer has acknowledged these and directed players to an updated known issues list.

Some of the ongoing problems include equipment restrictions for certain items, quest progression bugs, and graphical inconsistencies under specific settings. For example, players using certain GPU configurations may encounter visual glitches when enabling advanced upscaling features.

There are also gameplay-related concerns, such as character ability bugs and occasional freezing issues on consoles when using virtual keyboards. Pearl Abyss has indicated that these will be addressed in future updates.
