Pearl Abyss has announced an upcoming Privacy Policy update for Crimson Desert and all services that use a Pearl Abyss ID. The revised policy will take effect on July 8, 2026 (UTC) and will introduce several changes related to how personal information is collected, processed, and managed across the company’s expanding service ecosystem.

According to the official notice, the update reflects the broader range of services now supported by the Pearl Abyss ID and provides greater clarity on personal data handling. The revised policy also consolidates privacy notices for Black Desert and Crimson Desert, making it easier for users to understand how their information is managed across both titles.

The company further stated that the changes include additional details on overseas transfers of personal information, newly specified categories of automatically collected data, and clearer explanations of users’ rights regarding their personal information. Players who use any service connected to a Pearl Abyss ID will be subject to the updated policy once it becomes effective.

Current known issues affecting Crimson Desert

Alongside the privacy update, Pearl Abyss continues to investigate several known issues impacting Crimson Desert. One of the most significant affects AMD graphics drivers, with the game crashing on driver versions 26.6.2 and newer. Until a fix is available, AMD recommends using driver version 26.6.1 or earlier.

Other ongoing issues include the Phoenix and Iron Eagle being unable to equip the Sigil of Valor, progression problems with Greymane faction quests while playing as Damiane or Oongka, and a bug preventing Damiane from using her shield after dying immediately following Shield Toss, which can be resolved by saving and reloading.

Pearl Abyss has also acknowledged platform-specific issues affecting Mac, PlayStation, and NVIDIA GTX 1060 users, as well as visual problems when using FSR4 upscaling in rainy environments. The developer says it is actively investigating these issues and encourages players experiencing unlisted problems to submit reports through its official support channels.
