Crimson Desert has received two nominations at the 2026 Gamescom Awards, with Pearl Abyss’ open-world action-adventure competing for Best PC Game and Most Epic. The nominations were officially announced by the Crimson Desert team on August 24, with Pearl Abyss thanking players for their support since the game’s launch.
The two nominations place Crimson Desert among the major titles being recognized at this year’s Gamescom, where an international jury of gaming journalists and content creators selected nominees from games showcased at the event. The official Gamescom Awards website confirms that winners in these categories will be decided through a combination of jury and community voting.

In the Most Epic category, Crimson Desert will compete against METRO: 2039, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, Tides of Annihilation, and Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000. Its Best PC Game competition includes Alien: Isolation 2, Guns of Eschaton, METRO: 2039, and Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000.
Pearl Abyss said the nominations
“wouldn’t have been possible without your incredible support since launch,”
and invited fans to vote for the game. The studio’s official announcement can be found on Pearl Abyss’ website, while the full list of nominees was published by [Gamescom].
Fans can cast their votes from August 26 at 9:00 a.m. CEST until August 27 at 2:00 p.m. CEST through the official Gamescom Awards voting page. Gamescom will take place in Cologne, Germany, with the winners scheduled to be announced on August 28.
