Courteney Cox has shared a hilarious video of her remembering some of her past hairstyles that she thinks are the worst among all the hairstyles she has had to this day. On January 9, 2024, the Friends star shared a video on Instagram that showed her being confronted by people who were seen wearing gray sweatshirts that each featured a photo of her classic and funny hairstyles.
eAs the video begins, Cox is seen petting a dog outside, and someone asks her about the construction work happening. After she answers them, she is soon drawn to the sweatshirt that has a photo of her baby bangs, which she sported while she played Gale Weathers in Scream 3. She is not happy with the sweatshirt and asks him not to wear it.
What is that? Don’t wear that sweatshirt,” Cox says. “The bangs? Come on. That’s ridiculous. It’s embarrassing.
As she enters to inquire about the construction progress, eerie music plays in the background while Cox examines each sweatshirt. The initial one features a picture from her tenure on Misfits of Science, a 1985 series depicting the escapades of a group of unconventional superheroes working for a scientific think tank.
In this show, Cox portrayed Gloria Dinallo, sporting a bob hairstyle that fell above her shoulders.
Subsequently, she encounters another sweatshirt showcasing her haircut from her famous series, Scream 3. However, before finding that, there is a sweatshirt displaying her frizzy hair from the ninth season finale of Friends.
Many fans filled Cox’s comment box, eager to acquire the sweatshirts. It appears that the designs were created as one-of-a kind items by local creator Audrey Jordan, who shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram. Courteney is known for her witty nature and does not forget to delight her followers on Instagram with her funny videos.
Cox remembers her Scream 3 bangs and describes them as the worst hairstyle
In 2022, Courteney Cox admitted that the worst hairstyle she ever had in her life was the bangs she had during her Scream 3 shooting. Even though she has many other fond memories from the Scream franchise, when asked about the memories of the movie, she pointed out the hairstyle she had.
It is the one thing that she regrets about shooting for her hit horror movie. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show with Scream co-stars Neve Campbell and David Arquette, the actress opened up about crafting a different signature look for Gale in each film.
She said that the fringes were part of her experiment with new looks for the movie but ended up as a huge failure.
Each Scream I would try to come up with a different look for her that was just over-the-top gross, ugly, or too much.
The fringe she referenced were the super-short baby bangs Cox wore throughout the third installment of Scream, a beauty look that still haunts her to this day. She said that it was one of the worst hairstyles she ever had in her life. It was also a big lesson for her in life, because that will be forever in the film.
However, the bangs were not her actual hair; the actress wore clip-in bangs for each day of her shooting. But the main problem was that they had only one pair of bangs. Cox explained as she pointed to the back of the head, where the faux bang should be placed.
One set of bangs. She remembers that they were cut on the set. You are supposed to have a thing that starts back here, far back, and that’s where the part goes for the bangs. For some reason, they put it here.
Campbell also remembered how he politely convinced Cox that she looked good with the bangs. Arquette, who was married to Cox from 1999 to 2013, said that he felt really bad for Cox as she had to shoot a film with this look.
In 2019, Arquette admitted that it was his idea, and he asked her to cut off the fringes. In February 2019, Arquette, who was married to Cox from 1999 to 2013, admitted the infamous hairstyle was his idea.
Courteney Cox has also had funny hairstyles in her most popular series with Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, The Friends.
