Jakobsen and Carissa Bauman exchanged vows in a stunning emerald green and gold ceremony earlier this year. Their journey began in 2010 when Jakobsen, then a local artist in Seattle, crossed paths with Bauman, who was studying music business.
Despite their initial professional collaboration, it took years for their relationship to evolve into something more than friendship.
The couple’s bond deepened during the pandemic as they spent quality time together in Nashville, ultimately leading to Jakobsen proposing in August 2023.
Following a romantic honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains, they settled down in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where they now share their home with their three dogs and three cats.
Their wedding, held at the Rustic Elegance Event Center in Woodbury, Tennessee, with a cozy winter vibe, despite the absence of snow. Jakobsen, clad in a green velvet jacket, fondly recalls the intimate celebration surrounded by 68 loved ones.
Reflecting on the proposal, Jakobsen recalls a simple, private moment during a summer walk in Nashville when he popped the question to Bauman.
The couple, both natives of Seattle, embraced the idea of a winter wedding, symbolizing their shared love for the season. Their journey from acquaintances to life partners exemplifies the beauty of a slow-burning romance ignited by genuine connection and shared experiences.
