Almost a year ago, Jeremy Renner was involved in a potentially fatal snow plow accident.
The actor is credited with his remarkable recovery—he was able to walk again in less than a year—for his daily physical therapy sessions after being discharged from the hospital. Renner said on Instagram, looking back on his journey, that over the previous ten months, he has investigated “every type of therapy.”
Jeremy Renner was hospitalized at the beginning of January as a result of orthopedic injuries and blunt chest trauma. He was helping his nephew in the snow near his Lake Tahoe home when his Sno-Cat, a heavy snow plow weighing at least 14,330 pounds, unintentionally ran him over.
Renner suffered numerous injuries, including eight broken ribs in fourteen places, a fractured right knee and ankle, a shattered left leg tibia, a fractured left ankle, a fractured right clavicle, a fractured right shoulder, and other injuries.
Jeremy Renner was having every type of therapy post his accident
Since January 14th, Renner has been actively involved in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, as he revealed on Instagram. These approaches include intense physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips, stem cell and exosome treatments, red light/IR therapy, exposure to hyperbaric chamber atmospheres, cold plunge sessions, and more.
He highlighted how important his attitude and willpower were to his healing process, viewing them as his best kind of therapy.
Renner thanked his family, friends, and supporters for their support, stating that he believed it was his duty to not only live but also to make a positive difference in the lives of those who had supported him during this difficult time.
Jeremy Renner walked down the red carpet with a cane
Following his injury, Renner frequently used social media to provide updates on his recovery process and the intense physical therapy he received. He uploaded videos of himself working out and trying to build stronger legs.
By the time his Disney+ series “Rennervations” debuted in April, Renner had made progress, using a cane to walk the red carpet.
“With Disney, our team, and the timing of our lives all taken into account, I vehemently opposed delaying the global premiere. At the time, Renner told Variety, “It just felt like the right decision.” “Although I might seem a little exhausted at the moment, I can promise you that this show is motivating me to improve every day and accelerate my recuperation.
I came here to enjoy the moment after setting a goal to walk this carpet. If not, there was a chance that it would have been continuously delayed, losing steam and anticipation, which would have been extremely annoying. We made it, so right now, I’m really happy.”
Jeremy Renner is recording new music amid his recovery
Renner revealed last month that he has been writing new music while recovering.
He released the rock song “Heaven Don’t Have a Name” in the summer of 2019 and the EP “The Medicine” in March 2020. The title of the upcoming album appears to be “Love and Titanium,” a reference to the way he has spoken about his recovery in interviews.
On Instagram, Renner revealed that “Love and Titanium” is an assemblage of tracks that mark significant turning points in his recuperation process since the beginning of the year. He said that making the record had been a cathartic experience for him and that it had also been extremely painful and healing.
Additionally, Renner conveyed his desire to muster the bravery to take his audience on this musical adventure.
With the comment “soon,” Renner posted a picture of the album cover on social media, but he didn’t include any other information regarding the release schedule.
