The WWE NXT wrestler Cora Jade has finally made her comeback at NXT by ambushing Lara Valkyria in the Deadline of Saturday Night segment. This is her first appearance since her last match in July 2023. Jade is back in NXT with her ambition set on achieving the title of women’s champion this time.
Last time Jade stood up in a kendo stick match against Dana Brooke in the July 25 edition of NXT, she had lost against Brooke, and this loss made her vengeful. On the December 5 episode, a QR code for Jade’s return was teased. Later, she appeared at the NXT deadline on Saturday night. Backstage in an interview, Jade mentioned that she’s here to take the NXT women’s division to a whole new level.
Cora Jade is back!
After July 2023, Jade made her comeback by ambushing Lyra Valkyria in the NXT Deadline of Saturday Night, marking her comeback in the NXT Women’s Championship with her insight set on the title of the women’s champion.
Blair Davenport had won the survivor challenge and earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, which is currently being held by Lyra Valkyria. Davenport came to the microphone and challenged Valkyria for her title reign. Valkyria accepted the challenge, walked down the ramp, and came onto the stage.
During the moment when the staredown was happening between Valkyria and Davenport, Valkyria was attacked by Jade from behind. After this attack, Jade ambushed Valkyria and took the title. While posing with the NXT Women’s Championship belt, Jade made sure to reflect a warm feeling and make it clear to others that her sights were set on winning the gold before throwing it down towards Valkyria.
Jade’s comeback is not comforting for others, as she is more fueled by vengeance this time. After the show, in an interview, she was also relieved. While she was in the locker room, women gave her the vibe that they weren’t willing to welcome her back, but she has since returned to being a part of the highly anticipated women’s division in WWE.
Davenport is set to have a match against Valkyria to win her NXT Women’s Championship at the NXT New Year’s Evil Episode, which will air on Tuesday, January 2. It is going to be a special episode of NXT Television. Jade’s comeback seemed to others to be disturbing, but for CM Punk, it was a proud moment.
The night Cora made her comeback at NXT in the NXT Deadline, CM Punk made his appearance in an NXT Ring, to which Jade’s comment to the NXT Deadline Exclusive was, “I’ll be honest, it’s only fitting that The Best in the World and the Best in NXT returned to NXT on the same night.”
Later on, CM Punk appeared and told Jade that her comeback had made him and his wife proud of her. CM Punk said, “Look at me. Legit, I’m proud of you.”
He also made sure to keep the rebellious soul of Jade alive by saying that she should also be proud of herself. The wrestler added, “You should be very proud of yourself. Often, I feel like I need to be stepping on the gas, and I don’t stop and smell the roses. He concluded by saying that this is her house and hugging her while again saying that he’s proud of her.
