One day, he meets a girl named OL-san, an extremely petite office worker who stops by the convenience store. Shibasaki notices her struggling to reach the top of the shelf and lends her a hand. Upon interacting with OL-san, Shibasaki’s usual stoic demeanor completely changes as he becomes extremely flustered.
When OL-san takes a look at Shibasaki, she accidentally calls him Taku, which is the name of OL-san’s cat, since she thinks Shibasaki looks like her cat. Shibasaki becomes obsessed with the incident and begins to look forward to OL-san’s visits to the convenience store.
That marks the beginning of mundane and short interactions between Shibasaki and OL-san, often in a comedic way. Both of them develop feelings for each other and look forward to their small talk at the convenience store. Both of them end up becoming a part of each other’s daily life because of a short and wholesome interaction.

Combini de Kimi to no 5-fun Kan: Chapter 71 Recap
Previously in the manga, Shibasaki tells his sister that he will be working on the Christmas holiday, and his sister taunts him for it. The only reason Shibasaki wants to go to work on a holiday is because of his promise to meet OL-San on Christmas, and he even has a present prepared.
On Christmas, Shibasaki is helping decorate the store when OL-san comes in as promised. Shibasaki is wearing reindeer headgear as part of the festive spirit. OL-san loves the atmosphere and compliments how everyone is fired up for the festival. Shibasaki finally gives OL-san a present, which is a chicken fillet snack.
OL-san believes that the gift is for her cat even though Shibasaki is unaware of the cat’s existence. Shibasaki asks OL-san for a name since she didn’t have any present for Shibasaki. OL-san mistakes Shibasaki’s question and reveals her cat’s name, Takuan instead. Shibasaki’s curiosity about the name “Taku” finally ends with this revelation.
OL-san and Shibasaki shared a few more words, and Shibasaki complimented Takuan’s name. OL-san is later shown feeding her cat the fillet and tells Takuan that even though she was convinced that Shibasaki was a cat person, he just wants to care about what other people hold dear. OL-san wonders if Shibasaki was asking about her name instead.
