The Primetime Emmy-nominated Cobra Kai recently released the first part of its sixth and final season. This season will have 15 episodes divided into three parts.
Part 1 came out on July 18, and Part 2 will air on November 15. Jacob Bertrand, who plays Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz, spoke with TV Insider about his character’s future and the upcoming episodes.
Bertrand hinted that Part 2 will be filled with even more action than before. He said, “Part 2 is probably the most action-packed chunk of Cobra Kai ever.
There are so many fights in it, and there’s just so much turmoil. It gets worse before it gets better.” In Part 1, Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai were preparing for a big fight at the Sekai Taikai, while Kreese (Martin Kove) had a secret plan ready.
What Is The New Update?
Cobra Kai is a popular martial arts series that has done well on both Netflix and YouTube Red. Seasons 1 and 2 first aired on YouTube Red in May 2018 and April 2019. Netflix picked up the series in June 2020, and the next three seasons came out in January 2021, December 2021, and September 2022.
The show, created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, continues the story from the original The Karate Kid movie by Robert Mark Kamen.
Jacob Bertrand is excited about how Hawk’s story wraps up in the final season. He said he felt great after reading the script. “I felt great, actually. I was really nervous because I was so curious what they’re going to do with everyone’s characters.
But reading it, I just had a really nice little smile on my face, and I was really happy with how they handled everyone’s characters. I was happy with Hawk’s sendoff.”
Season 6 Part 1 featured many of the series’ main stars, including Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Martin Kove as John Kreese, Yuji Okumoto as Chozen Toguchi, Sean Kanan as Mike Barnes, and Alicia Hannah-Kim as Kim Da-Eun.
Students like Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, and Peyton List as Tory Nichols also returned.
