Japanese girl group CIRRA is showcasing a new side of its musical identity with the release of “I like it,” a house-inspired dance single accompanied by a music video.
Released digitally on October 21, 2026, the track serves as one of the lead songs from the group’s upcoming third EP, Snow Dress / I like it, scheduled to arrive on November 18.
The release highlights CIRRA’s performance-focused approach, combining contemporary dance production with lyrics that blend Japanese and English.
Its polished sound and confident atmosphere distinguish it from the group’s more emotional material, offering listeners a glimpse of the different musical directions explored in the upcoming EP.
The accompanying music video places the members’ choreography and performance abilities at the centre of the release.
With “I like it,” CIRRA continues building its identity as a new-generation Japanese girl group while drawing attention to the creative vision behind its music.
The single is also the second advance release leading up to the group’s third EP, following “Ready, steady, glow!,” which arrived on October 1.
The upcoming project will present two contrasting lead tracks, allowing CIRRA to explore both energetic dance music and a more delicate, emotional sound.
“I like it” Showcases CIRRA’s Dance Performance and Contemporary Sound
“I like it” is built around house-inspired production, with a modern arrangement designed to complement CIRRA’s choreography and stage presence.
The combination of English phrases and Japanese lyrics gives the track an international pop sensibility while maintaining its connection to the Japanese music scene.
The song was written by Mayu Wakisaka, with composition credited to Rajan Muse, Wakisaka and Louise Lindberg. Muse also handled the arrangement, shaping the track’s contemporary dance sound.
According to the group’s official announcement, the song is intended to showcase CIRRA’s performance abilities and reveal a different side of its musical character.
Its sleek production and upbeat rhythm make it particularly suited to live performances, where choreography and group synchronisation can become central elements of the experience.
The music video accompanies this direction by highlighting the members as performers.
Rather than presenting the release solely as a new song, the project places emphasis on CIRRA’s ability to combine music, movement and visual presentation.
“I like it” is one of two lead tracks planned for Snow Dress / I like it. The other, “Snow Dress,” is scheduled for release on November 2 and takes a contrasting approach.
Described as a winter ballad, it focuses on emotional storytelling and the vocal abilities of the members.
The song explores the feelings of someone dealing with unspoken longing while trying to move forward and appear strong.
Its lyrics were written by Masato Odake, with music composed by Yui Mugino.
By pairing a dance track with a more introspective ballad, CIRRA is using the EP to highlight different aspects of its musical identity.

The project will also feature “PRISM,” bringing the confirmed tracklist to four songs alongside “Ready, steady, glow!”
From the E-girls Legacy to CIRRA’s New Musical Journey
CIRRA was formed through GALBATO – GIRLS BATTLE AUDITION, a nationwide audition project led by Harumi Sato, the former leader of Japanese girl group E-girls.
Sato serves as CIRRA’s producer, connecting the new group with a creative lineage rooted in Japan’s dance-and-vocal idol scene.
The 10-member lineup consists of MYU.S, TOA, HINATA, YURARA, YUNA, MOMO, NIKORI, MYU.Y, KOHARU and MANON.
The group’s name is pronounced “She-ra,” and its formation reflects an effort to introduce a new generation of performers to Japanese pop audiences.
CIRRA made its official debut in March 2026 with one-way-runway / Always.
The song “Always” subsequently reached No. 1 on Billboard JAPAN’s Heatseekers Songs chart, giving the group an early milestone in its career.
The group followed its debut project with the EP Water, released in August, continuing to develop its sound through music and performance-focused content.
Its releases have included different approaches to vocals, choreography and visual presentation, establishing a foundation for the next stage of its activities.
The upcoming Snow Dress / I like it EP represents another step in that development.
The project is scheduled for November 18, 2026, with a limited-edition CD and Blu-ray version as well as a regular CD edition.
With “I like it” now available and “Snow Dress” set to arrive ahead of the full EP, CIRRA is preparing to present two distinct musical moods within a single project.
The release offers an early look at how the group intends to balance high-energy dance performance with expressive vocals as it continues its journey in Japan’s evolving girl-group scene.
