With Halloween right around the corner, Syfy’s horror series Chucky will return to our televisions with more blood and screams than ever before. Don Mancini just knows how to scare people the right way, and with the third season, things are bound to get gorier and more entertaining.
First seen in October 2021, Chucky follows the titular character on his mission to kill people (as usual) and form a cult of his own. Since the storyline takes place after the events of the Cult of Chucky, the doll is seen trying to transfer its soul to others to keep a part of itself alive.
The cast members that’ll be returning for another season of Chucky would be Zackary Arthur in the role of Jake Wheeler, Alyvia Alyn Lind in the role of Lexy Cross, and Bjorgvin Arnarson in the role of Devon Evans. Now, all three of our main protagonists are orphans, so there’s no saying where they’ll end up in the new season.
Chucky’s main goal now is to kill Tiffany for leaving him to die, take revenge on his offspring G.G., and continue to transfer his soul into more of those creepy Good Guy Dolls.
Chucky Season 2: Quick Recap
Season 2 of Chucky began with the three friends being sent to a catholic school, which would act like a Juvenile detention center. While Lexy, Devon, and Jake are finally glad that they got rid of Chucky, what they don’t know is that the doll is already on his way to find them.
They start receiving threatening calls from Chucky, and before they can do anything, the doll starts attacking everyone at the Catholic school. We see a bunch of gore-filled deaths, with people being strangled, slashed, and even bursting into a hundred pieces.
The final episode of Chucky shows Lexy calling Jake and Devon to stay with her at her house for Christmas. This time, they were sure that they’d seen the last of Chucky, but unfortunately for them, Chucky was all set to show up at the house in a classic Santa Claus style through the chimney.
Meanwhile, Glen and Glenda’s souls are transferred into a single doll. Tiffany starts looking for a Bride doll for herself. After spotting a Bride doll in the mayor’s IG live, Tiff heads over to Lexy’s house at night.
Chucky purchases a special no-noise chainsaw to split the mayor in half. Tiff shows up at the same time and doesn’t save Chucky from Lexy’s attacks. Lexy kills the Chucky doll once again. In the future, Nica is seen stalking Tiff with the hopes of killing her.
Tiff kidnaps Caroline and tries to transfer her own soul into the bride doll, but Ade Due Damballa doesn’t work this time. Chucky is already within the doll and proceeds to attack Tiffany. The next season will likely show what happens to Tiff and whether Nica manages to take her revenge or not. Chucky will likely cause another murder frenzy, this time on a much larger scale.
