Christian Combs, son of the renowned rapper, producer, and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs, faces allegations of sexual assault in a recent lawsuit implicating both individuals.
The 31-page legal filing was lodged in LA Superior Court on Thursday, as confirmed by Grace O’Marcaigh, the attorney representing the plaintiff.
As per the lawsuit, O’Marcaigh served as a crew member and bartender aboard a yacht chartered by Sean Combs and his family in December 2022.
The lawsuit detailed an experience initially presented as a “wholesome family excursion” that allegedly transformed into a “hedonistic environment,” with suspected sex workers and other celebrities frequently brought aboard.
According to the lawsuit, in the early hours of December 28, Christian Combs allegedly pressured O’Marcaigh to consume a shot of tequila and subsequently assaulted her.
O’Marcaigh suspects that the tequila, which she claims Christian Combs provided, may have been spiked with drugs.
While Sean Combs is not directly implicated in the sexual assault allegations, he is named in the lawsuit regarding liability and aiding and abetting.
Aaron Dyer, representing Sean and Christian Combs, issued a statement, denouncing the lawsuit as containing “manufactured lies and irrelevant facts,” and indicated their intention to seek dismissal of the claims.
This lawsuit marks the latest legal action against Sean Combs, following recent federal investigations at his properties in LA and Miami.
Prior lawsuits have accused him of various forms of misconduct, including sexual misconduct and other illegal activities, all of which Combs vehemently denies.
Lawsuit Cites Audio Recordings
The lawsuit references an audio recording from a makeshift studio aboard the yacht, purportedly where the alleged assault commenced.
A partial transcript within the lawsuit captures O’Marcaigh feeling pressured to consume a shot, questioning Christian Combs about potential drugging, to which he allegedly responds, “Take the shot.”
The source independently verified the transcript from the audio recordings.
In a tense exchange between Combs and O’Marcaigh, Cassie’s 2006 hit ‘Me & U’, featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs, played in the background.
Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, Diddy’s former partner, has accused the music mogul of rape and prolonged physical and emotional abuse.
In November 2023, Ventura and Diddy settled the case a day after her filing, marking the initial lawsuit in a series of sexual abuse claims against Diddy.
Diddy’s attorney denied the allegations, stating the settlement wasn’t an admission of guilt.
The lawsuit recounts how Christian Combs allegedly cornered O’Marcaigh, becoming physically aggressive, and attempting to force himself on her. The assault ceased only when another yacht employee intervened.
Photos included in the court filing appear to show bruises on the plaintiff’s forearm.
Following the alleged assault, O’Marcaigh’s mental and physical health deteriorated, according to the lawsuit. She began suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, among other issues, the lawsuit said.
The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
