After much had changed since being the princess of Forsynth, Ayesha will now have to survive the real world as a whole new person. She is yet to confirm the intentions of the Grand Duchy, as having been prisoner for a long time traumatised her.
Will Ayesha be able to overcome her own trauma and accept the warm hand of the Grand Duchy, or will her past keep haunting her future decisions?
Recap
In the first chapter, Ayesha is seen tied to a tree. Bruises were all over her body and she was in daze of how quickly her life had turned upside down. The bandits, who were gathered around the fire were enjoying their food as they watched her suffer.
One of the bandits tosses a stale bread at her, and when Ayesha tries to grab it, she fails. The rope that kept her tied limited her movements. Watching her struggle, the bandits began to make fun of her and degrade Ayesha.
She belonged to a small country called Forsynth, where her father was the King. The people adored the monarch’s family as they were kind and generous to them, leaving no room for complaints. Ayesha was also a great singer, and children would come to listen to her sing sweet melodies.
However, as things were all going good, disaster struck the Kingdom and its people. A strong and violent group of bandids horded Forsyth. Their main plan was to kill anyone who wasn’t a woman, as they were to kidnap the latter and keep them captive.
While Ayesha’s family was in the midst of escaping, the bandits caught up to them and killer her family. Ayesha tried to protect them as best she could, but it was all in vain. She was taken as a prisoner by the bandids for the following three months, and forced to live a life of misery.
One night, one of the bandid calls Ayesha over and orders her to sing. Ayesha, who had once been known for her sweet and charming voice, could no longer let out proper words flow in a tune. Being held captive for such a long time, she was no longer able to use her voice
When she tried to sing out of fear, only small croaks and groans would come out, which further entertained the bandits. They were happy to destroy the one thing she had left. Later, one of the bandits forces himself on Ayesha, trying to rape her.
Right then, a mysterious stranger shows up with the head of one of the bandit. Not only does he begin violently attacking them, he also in the process saves Ayesha from being abused. The bandit offered to give Ayesha in exchange for her life, but the man simply killed him for such an offer.
Ayesha was finally able to recollect some thoughts, and it turns out that the stranger was in fact the Duchy of Bastian. He had come along with his people with the sole purpose of destroying the enemy bases.
Ayesha was afraid of what will happen next and if she will become prisoner to another man. Seeing her cry, the Duchy smiles at her, hoping it will give her a sense of reassurance.
