Chesapeake Shores season 5 episode 3 will be a continuation of Mick and Abby’s troubles. Episode 2 revealed more of the aftermath of Abby’s and Trace’s breakup. Trace decided to leave town after selling his share of The Bridge back to Mick. Meanwhile, Jay arrives during a beach cleanup event and comforts Abby and her girls. However, Abby is not ready to start a new relationship just yet and tells Jay that. Bree gives the interview for her university job with her old high school nemesis, Jerry. She soon realizes that she had misread Jerry’s animosity toward her back in high school. Jess is going through conflicting feelings about telling David about his mom. His mother had told Jess that she wants her to sign a pre-nuptial agreement.
Luke receives an offer from Kevin, for a job at The Bridge, but he rejects it. Later on, Luke runs into Bree when she drops off clothing at a charity box. After she leaves, Luke picks boots and a shirt from the box and leaves. Meanwhile, Mick and Abby are still struggling with the lawsuit. Mick has been contending with the lawsuit against one of his subcontractors and its subsequent fallout. Episode 2 saw the fallout increasing even more as their most loyal customers are starting to withdraw. And it seems their troubles are not going anywhere just yet. Meanwhile, Thomas has returned to the area and is searching for a new property. Luke impresses Mick and lands a new job at The Bridge. Megan buys a painting that she thinks is potentially valuable for only eight dollars. She tries to track down the local artist to confirm it is one of his works, with little success. The local artist is notoriously reclusive. Chief Gahagan has a few memory lapses that concern Kevin, who thinks they might be indicative of something more serious. Back at the law firm, Connor gets a bigger role in a high-profile case. However, he starts suspecting that there might be an ulterior motive behind the assignment.
