Cher’s comeback hit ‘Believe’ has marked a new milestone: its 25th anniversary in October. Even though the song feels fresh to us, it’s been twenty-five years since it has been released.
The singer, in an interview with Today News, said that she cannot believe the fact that her hit album Believe has covered twenty-five years. She seems to have trouble accepting when the interviewer says it is amazing that the song has reached its anniversary.
The musical legend replies with a laugh that it is not that amazing, and she is annoyed by the fact that she is also aging alone. The musician does not seem to be liking aging.
Many other celebrities are embracing their advanced years, while Cher is known for breaking all the stereotypical norms on aging through her fashion and her romantic relationships.
Cher was in a relationship with Alexander Edward, who was 40 years younger than her. In an interview, she also defended the age gap by saying that love does not know Math.
The musician, in the interaction with Today’s Harry Smith, said that she hates aging and will do anything to stay in her seventies if possible.
Cher and Age are Not Friends!
In answering Harry’s question of whether she and age are friends in the sense of liking aging, she comes up with a big no. She said that her mother did not mind aging a lot, but she surely does.
Harry also shared his own battle of aging with Cher. He said that he had tough times with 70, and it has knocked him into a hole for a long time. His confession prompted Cher to say how she felt about being in her seventies. She said that she would literally do anything to be 70 again.
At the time Cher turned 70 in 2016, she confessed to an interview that she did not know how to feel about and did not want to accept that she was aging.
Cher does not think that she has done the best in her life and is not a fan of herself. Cher was considered to be an icon during her days in a male-dominated industry and gained attention in the field. She was referred to as the Goddess of Pop.
She is known for her versatile voice and singing, as well as for adopting various styles and appearances. Her worldwide commercial hit song Believe was released on October 19, 1998.
Many other hits of Cher’s are After All, If I Could Turn Back Time, I Got You Babe, Little Man, and Strong Enough. She has also shown her talent in acting. Some of her movies include Burlesque, Mamma Mia Here We Go, Masks, and Mermaids.

Speaking to the host of the show, who asked her about how she stays so radiant and young, Cher replied that she would never cut her hair short or stop wearing jeans.
Cher also explained how she and her friends used to discuss how to remain young and radiate the same energy they had. She also said that she cannot believe that she will be 80 at some point.
She says she tries to keep herself busy with her young friends and keep up with the trends. Also, when discussing if going natural and gray is fine for Cher, she replied she would never want to try the salt and pepper style. Her jet-black tresses are something she admires, and she would continue with that.
