Chairman Kang: The Newcomer Chapter 29 will be released in the coming week! Chapter 28 ended on a rather tense note as Jun Hyun took a jab at Director Lee and asked why he was still waiting for the Chairman to wake up and resume work.
On the other hand, the case of the Chemical company seems to be sorted out as President Son follows the advice given by Director Lee and informs Kang Dong Hoon to change the supplier, who had been causing a number of complaints in the company.
Chairman Kang: The Newcomer is a Manhwa that tells the story of Chairman Kang Yang Ho, who suddenly fell very sick and went into a vegetative state. While others presumed he was unconscious, Chairman Kang had taken the body of a young employee who would now begin working from the bottom.
Recap
The previous chapter of Chairman Kang: The Newcomer begins with Director Lee receiving news regarding an unusual report from a chemical company. Almost all executives and employees had complained about the outsourcing of the company, so Director Lee decided to pay the chemical director a visit.
President Son was the CEO of Choi Sung Chemical, and Director Lee went to tell him of the audit reports regarding their supplier. He tells Boss Son that all the gloves, boxes, packaging, and many other things that the workers receive are defective, making it hard not to complain.
Although President Son was aware of it all, he wasn’t able to do anything directly as the Chairman’s son, Executive Director Kang Dong Hoon, was the one responsible for the business. Dong Hoon contacted President Son and asked to lend his friend a helping hand by making him the supplier of the company.
Director Lee insists that helping out a friend isn’t the issue, but rather the fact that all the products are unusable. President Son tries to make excuses and asks to just ignore the faults of the supplier during the audit, but Director Lee refuses to do so.
In a desperate attempt, President Son tells Director Lee how mentioning the faults in the audit would seem like a jab at Dong Hoon. Director Lee stands by his opinion and tells President Son to change the supplier. He tells him he knows a way and asks Son to follow the plan.
Son then goes to pay a visit to Executive Director Dong Hoon and does as he is told. He tells Dong Hoon that the audit will be risky and that if they don’t change the supplier, then his older brother, Dong Seong, will have the upper hand.
If the chemical company changes its supplier, then it will have a cleaner record than Dong Seong’s construction company and will ultimately avoid any backlash from the media. Dong Hoon agrees to it in his mind but dismisses President Son.
Meanwhile, Director Lee meets up with Hwang Jun Hyun, the whole reason why the company purification and intense audits began. Jun Hyun had been covering all the corrupt companies and reporting them, saying it was beneficial to the company to get some coverage.
Director Lee tells him how the company would prefer being low on the radar for now and how he is aware of the GF solution. He reminds him that only the chairman has the right to take over, and he shouldn’t take the step on his own accord.
The chapter ends with Jun Hyun responding that he cannot simply do nothing while the chairman is bedridden, and neither should Director Lee be so offended in his work, as endlessly waiting for the chairman to wake up is futile.
