Bandai Namco Entertainment America has released a new gameplay overview for Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, revealing the game’s major modes, customization features, and story details ahead of its launch on August 28. Based on the iconic anime and manga series, the sequel expands on the franchise’s signature over-the-top soccer action while introducing new content for both longtime fans and newcomers.

The latest gameplay video highlights Story Mode, which introduces new stars alongside Tsubasa Ozora as Japan’s national team competes for a place in the World Youth Championship. Players will experience dramatic anime-style matches while facing some of the world’s strongest teams.

The game features more than 110 playable characters and 22 national teams, including Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, Mexico, and other international soccer powerhouses.

In addition to story content, Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters includes extensive customization options and an in-game shop where players can unlock gear inspired by legendary national teams.

The sequel launches on August 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, bringing the franchise’s fast-paced Action Soccer gameplay back with larger rosters and expanded features.
