Besides music, Kpop idols are also hired to advertise several brands, earning not just whopping money but also fame. Similarly, just before the military enlistment, BTS member V earned a huge paycheck. Now, the question is- from which brand?
Well, V’s prominence is not something to be discussed. The whole world knows him. Born in Daegu, his father supported him a lot to pursue music. In the early days, V started taking saxophone classes and later ended up as a trainee under BigHit Music. Rest is history. Getting assigned to the BTS boyband, V has earned a massive fanbase globally.
We all know that following the BTS hiatus, V made his solo debut this year. In case you missed it, make sure you listen to his songs- Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, and Rainy Days. These days, his debut album- “Layover,” is ruling the internet due to his record-breaking vocals.
Moving on with V’s advertisement, the K-pop singer got himself involved with a lucrative venture, earning huge amounts of money. More precisely, that was his modeling fees. The companies hire celebrities so that their reach becomes greater. That’s the marketing strategy of all brands. Working with V was more like an additional brownie for the brand.
BTS V Received A Huge Paycheck Before His Enlistment To The Military Service: From Which Brand?
On 20 December 2023, a news report revealed that BTS idol V earned 6 billion KRW as modeling fees from a brand. We all know how much they love drinking coffee. Right? So, here, it was the brand- Compose Coffee. V will be featured as its face. More precisely, he was chosen to commemorate the brand’s upcoming 10th-anniversary launch in 2024.
When did V get enlisted for mandatory military service? It was on 11 December 2023. It is reported that he started filming for the advertisement for Compose Coffee at the beginning of this month. Well, the franchisees were requested to pitch it for a total of 2 billion KRW (out of that 6 billion KRW). That one catchy line of the brand is- “Everyone is a composer.”
Even though KRW 6 billion sounds huge to you, it’s the BTS members’ usual advertisement fee. That’s how prominent they are in the industry.
A couple of years ago, more particularly in 2021, the KBS2 program- Woman Running the Charts reported that the band’s yearly modeling fee from each brand was 5 billion KRW at the time. Little did you know, the BTS idols were then working with 13 brands in total.
However, they negotiated a guarantee in 2021, stating the amount to be 20% lower than their existing modeling fee. Overall, when calculated, BTS received 62 billion KRW that year in terms of advertising fees.
Best wishes to V. Those who previously thought that singing was the only income source of these idols are now proved wrong. Advertisement deals also play a significant role in their monetary wealth. Make sure you follow V on his Instagram account for more such updates.
At present, as V is set to serve in the prestigious Special Duty Team in Seoul, we are here enjoying his old works. We believe he is going to bring something exciting to the table after his return.
