BTS have returned with a brand-new episode of their beloved self-produced variety series Run BTS!, giving fans a relaxed look at the seven members away from the concert stage.
The latest episode, titled “BTS in Toronto,” was released on October 6 through the group’s official YouTube channel and Weverse, marking the return of Run BTS 2.0 after a four-month break.
Filmed during BTS’ stop in Toronto for their ongoing BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’, the episode offered a refreshing change of pace from their packed touring schedule.
RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook gathered at a Toronto park for an autumn picnic, reminiscing about childhood memories and enjoying some downtime together.
The members looked back on their first school picnics and discussed the kinds of food they remembered eating when they were younger.
The relaxed setting soon turned into the kind of playful chaos that has become synonymous with Run BTS!.
BTS Turn Their Toronto Picnic Into a Series of Hilarious Games
After settling into the picnic atmosphere, the members began competing in several games.
One of the highlights was a towel-passing relay, during which they sang songs including “Hooligan,” “Daechwita,” and “Seven (feat. Latto).”
They also took on the Korean version of “Red Light, Green Light,” with the members becoming increasingly competitive as they tried to avoid being caught moving.
The episode also featured plenty of spontaneous moments and playful arguments.
The members debated unusual hypothetical situations and showed their natural chemistry as they joked with one another.
Food was another highlight of the Toronto outing. BTS sampled local-style sushi pizza, giving the members another opportunity to relax and enjoy their time together.
The simple picnic setting allowed viewers to see the group behaving more like longtime friends than global superstars.
The episode’s casual atmosphere was particularly notable because it was filmed during the group’s massive world tour.
Rather than focusing on performances or behind-the-scenes concert preparations, Run BTS 2.0 gave the members an opportunity to simply have fun together.
Run BTS 2.0 Continues Alongside BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour
The Toronto episode marks the latest chapter in the return of Run BTS!.
The original self-produced variety show launched in 2015 and became one of BTS’ most popular forms of non-music content.
The new Run BTS 2.0 season is being released alongside the group’s ongoing ARIRANG world tour, allowing fans to see their experiences in different cities.
The first new episode was preceded by a Toronto-themed teaser showing the members playing childhood picnic games, followed by footage of them taking part in pickleball.
BTS had previously revealed that they had become interested in the sport while traveling for the tour.
The timing of the new episode is especially notable as BTS continue their South American tour.
After completing their Toronto schedule earlier in the tour, the group began the South American leg with concerts in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2 and 3, reportedly drawing around 100,000 fans.
Their next concerts are scheduled for Lima, Peru, marking BTS’ first-ever performances in the country.
The next episode of Run BTS 2.0 is scheduled to arrive on October 11 at 8 p.m. KST.
With the series now following BTS across their world tour, fans can look forward to more relaxed moments, games, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the members’ lives on the road.
