The eldest of the septet dropped a new trot song on the celebration of his birthday, and it is already trending globally. BTS member Kim Seok Jin, who is known for singing heartfelt and emotion-filled solo songs, surprised the fans with his excellent Trot song, Super Tuna, dedicated to fish. He also shared a Music video on BTS’s official youtube channel, dancing to Super Tuna’s beats.
On December 4, Jin shared a TROT song with the fans on BTS’s blog and channel. One of the two versions included a performance video of Jin dancing at the beach. Trot genre is a type of Korean pop music popular for its peculiar singing style. Trot was famous in Korea in the 60s and 70s. However, it has made a comeback recently.
BTS Jin’s New Trot Song Super Tuna
Kim Seok Jin of BTS is undoubtedly the sweetest and funniest idol you will ever encounter. But, fans experienced a different side with Super Tuna. The song and lyrics were entirely dedicated to fish, and it also displayed Jin’s love for fishing.
As BTS Army, we have learned that Jin loves to go fishing whenever he gets time. Thus, the lyrics of Super Tuna were relatable and could be enjoyed without deciphering the lyrics.
Jin has co-produced the song with BUMZU, who helped provide the synthesizer and background vocals to the song. Furthermore, Park Gi Tae of PRISMFILTER handled the guitar, while ANCHOR did the mixing from PRISMFILTER. Son Yoo Jung of HYBE Studio was the recording engineer.
HYBE and Jin of BTS also shared an album cover for Super Tuna. With Jin standing in the middle, the cover is flashy with Jin and a vast fish appearing in the middle. As soon as the song came out, fans talked about it on social media. And Super Tuna soon became a worldwide trend on Twitter. Following the song’s release, Jin held a Vlive with Army, where he also danced to his newly released single.
