The 73-year-old musician and his band, the E Street Band, were due to perform at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 (UTC). But the concert was either canceled or scheduled.
Bruce Springsteen’s team shared the news on the singer’s official social media accounts. Fans were asked to reserve tickets as the concerts will be held on different dates. Singer Bruce Springsteen is ill, so shows with his band The E Street Band in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 will not go as planned.
They are trying to get new dates for the show, and tickets people have will still be good for those new dates. The message from the management team reads, “We are working to reschedule dates, so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for rescheduled shows.”

But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour was delayed until 2021. Then, in January 2021, Springsteen said he would not tour with the band that year because of the ongoing pandemic. Instead, he did more solo shows on Broadway later in the year.
In 2019, following a two-year solo performance run on Broadway, Springsteen mentioned his plans to tour with the E Street Band in 2020 to promote his album “Letter to You”. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour had to be postponed until 2021. Subsequently, in January 2021, Springsteen announced his decision to forego touring with the band for that year due to the persistent pandemic situation. Instead, he opted for an additional solo performance on Broadway later in the same year.
