Breeders appear to be a funny, playful show, and even a change from some of FX’s more dark and tragic content. However, taking risks and not being afraid of the implications is one of the series’ highlights. Much of this will be revealed in the upcoming episode, which will begin with Jim and Jackie’s golden wedding anniversary. Isn’t this a beautiful occasion to mark the occasion? In theory, at least. A power outage occurs, and characters begin to express their frustrations as a result. We eventually arrive at a scene between Paul and his kid Luke that has the potential to change everything in the future.
The eight episodes of Breeders begin with Paul’s parents standing outside as all of their stuff is put onto a truck, and swiftly cut to Ally telling Keeley that she and Paul have remained distant since “the incident.” They once used to be best friends, but they don’t appear to be anymore, which she rightly dislikes. There’s a hilarious scene in episode 8 when Ally assumes that Jacob is pushing drugs, but he was just sniffing in coffee packets.
Breeders Season 3 Episode 8 Recap
Before diving into Breeders Season 3 Episode 9, let’s quickly do a recap of the previous Episode. Episode 8 skillfully uses flashbacks to highlight how Paul and Ally’s relationship has evolved – they no longer enjoy making judgments on others. Paul also regrets Luke’s loneliness, which is unusual given that in the next scene, he appears to have made a new buddy who recommends Charles Bukowski poems to him. The Housing Association is forcing Jim and Jackie to downsize because they have too many bedrooms for only the two of them, which covers the opening scene. Both are enraged by this because they’ll be losing their new buddies — the house-share graduates next door — and Jim believes that if you don’t have enough friends, you die.
This is clearly bad news for Paul, because Jim claims he doesn’t have any friends, and Luke claims he doesn’t either. It’s presumably what prompts Paul to restore his friendship with an old friend, Dean Andrews, whom he runs into at the birthday party he and Ally are attending, much to her displeasure. When Ally and Paul arrive home, they are surprised to find Luke’s friend Jacob, a wonderfully honest posh boy scientist, in their house, but at least he cheers Luke up. Paul is likewise placed in a good mood by Dean, despite the fact that the thrill of that relationship renders him less and less interested in Ally.
In episode 8, things start to go in a different direction. Ava no longer wants to be friends with Chloe; Dean gets Paul hooked on cocaine; Ally is concerned that Luke’s dependence on Jacob’s company is basically killing him. Dean wants Paul to talk to Ava about Chloe, and Paul tries to do so since he is helplessly attached to Dean. It does, however, lead to a revelation. He doesn’t need a best buddy like Dean, who he has to irritate in order to keep his daughter happy. He already shares an apartment with his best friend. It’s practically a gut punch when they both sit and mock Jim and Jackie’s young neighbors. Now we will discuss when will Episode 9 of Breeders Season 3 will release and what will happen in it.
