Born on June 28, 1993, Bradley Emmanuel Beal Sr. is an American professional basketball player who plays for the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Phoenix Suns. Before being chosen as the third overall choice by the Washington Wizards in the 2012 NBA draft, he was a Florida Gators collegiate basketball player.
He spent 11 seasons with Washington, where he was a three-time All-Star, selected to the All-Rookie First Team in 2013, and the All-NBA Third Team in 2021. On the Wizards’ all-time top scorer list, Beal is ranked second. Beal went to Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis, Missouri.
In the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, he played for the United States and won the title with an average of 18 points per game. Beal not only won the tournament but also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team and the MVP award. Beal averaged 32.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in his final year of high school.

In the first quarter of the Suns’ 139-122 defeat to the Knicks on Friday night, guard Bradley Beal injured his right ankle. This is the latest setback in what Phoenix coach Frank Vogel called a “frustrating injury type of season for him.”
When Shaquille Beal, 30, attempted a 3-point shot in the opening quarter, he landed on Donte DiVincenzo’s foot of New York. DiVincenzo was assessed a flagrant foul 1 for not giving Beal enough room to land.
For some minutes, Beal lay on the ground, convulsing with agony. He ultimately stood up to attempt his free shot, but instead of going to the locker room, he was later declared ineligible to play the rest of the way. The X-rays were negative, Vogel added.
The Suns’ All-Star combination of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Beal has only played together once this season, in Wednesday night’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Beal’s injury is yet another setback for the group.
On Friday, Beal was participating in his sixth match of the year. For the majority of the last two months, he has struggled with a hurting back. Due to various injuries, Durant and Booker have also lost time.
Vogel stated, “Injuries are a part of the game.” “I feel sorry for him. His dismay was visible on his face from behind. My main worry is keeping him elevated. He’ll be back sooner rather than later, but this season has been hard for him due to injuries.” Before leaving the game against the Knicks, Beal had six points.
