Han Sungyoon will be gnawing his teeth as she realizes what Namgoong Hyuk means by being attacked by a certain god. Han had let go of every word that the swordsman told him after his offer of friendship was rejected. However, he will soon learn that the swordsman wasn’t saying things in jest in Boundless Necromancer Chapter 68.
The talent that feeds on others is the best way to describe Han and his abilities of Necromancy. He has climbed the floors thanks to the use of the special skill that is offered to only him and no one else. And after he got the taste of power, the fantasy series used the cliched beats to show his development.
While Han was shown to be this guy who worked to get selected by the tower, his sudden transformation was uncanny. But, characters like Iron-Blooded Monarch, White Crane Swordsmaster, and even Baek Ryunha, like the Han that they met. And given that the system and the world reward him, he sure has dressed himself in that mantle and accepted his new side.
Spoilers
Boundless Necromancer Chapter 68 will see Burrowing Heaven Sword be put to use as it saw quite the boost in the last chapter. A good portion of the last chapter was spent on it to show how much the sword has gotten better thanks to the new buffs that Han had gotten. However, those buffs came from one he considered a friend for a few moments.
However, the sudden change of behavior for an action manhwa protagonist is nothing new. There is usually a lack of consistency in how the characters operate most of the time, though there are exceptions like Lloyd. But then again, at this point, Lloyd is a high bar among his contemporaries as he nails a lot of things without being a serious character.
Putting aside Lloyd’s fables and his straight-faced side-kick, Han would be up against quite the force. He had been warned about the things that would be coming his way in the future, but he got careless. Pushing the final words of Hyuk came to bite him, and now he must prepare for the worst.
Recap

When Hyuk talked about his achievements to his father, all he got was disproval and unwillingness to accept him. This left Hyuk bitter and not being able to do anything about his father’s recognition of him.
We are then brought to the present, where Han Sungyoon recognizes the talent that Hyuk and wishes that they would have met under different circumstances.
