Bel told Marie not to let her guard down around the beast. Bel went to protect the little girl while Marie tried to distract it. When Marie attacked the beast, she noticed it wasn’t as strong as it looked. However, because the beast was created from the shadows, the attack made by Marie didn’t affect it at all. It regained its shape quickly.

Marie’s granduncle then killed the beast in a single blow. Bel then rushed towards the little girl to check if she was alright. When he checked, she was sleeping. Bel then took the girl to his home.

A long time passed since the incident, and they had reached home safely. The granduncle told Bel that the girl resembled the body structure of a human, but the mana residing inside her was completely different. Marie asked Bel what he was going to do with the child. Bel told her he would raise the child even if she was a demon child.
