Blue Lock Chapter 249 will be releasing this weekend and fans are eager to find out how the final round of the Blue Lock Project will end and who will take home the trophy as the winner.
Previously, Team Z and Team V were in a cut throat battle stuck on a tie. With only little time remaining to change the course of the game, Isagi decided to take matters into his own hands and gambled a shot at Team V’s goal.
The upcoming chapter will witness the outcome of Isagi’s decision to score and perhaps Rin overcoming his fear of failing which he had because of his famous father. Will Team Z be the ultimate winner or will Team V have a counter prepared in the last minute?
Recap
The match between Team Z and Team V is still ongoing. Team V had Bachira, Otaya, Meguru, Sae and Reo while Team Z had Rin, Kunigami, Shindou, Isagi and Nagi. This was the final round of the Blue Lock project so everyone was eager to win their spot at the top.
It was the second half of the match, and the players were getting restless. Standing at a tie of 2-2, one of the teams had to make the goal to determine their victory. There were only ten minutes left till the match was over, which put pressure on both sides.
Isagi decides to take the first offense for Team Z and rushes toward Team V’s goal. Bashira quickly follows him and tries to stop Isagi from attacking. As the Captain of Team V, Bashira was known to be reliable and good at defending.
However, Isagi was able to pass through his defense with an unexpected feint. Rin was following up with Isagi and rushing towards the goal, so he decided to pass the ball to Rin in hopes of scoring. But right as he was about to give the ball, he noticed Rin wasn’t focused on the goal.
Rin’s father was known to be the “King of Strikers”, which shaped his childhood as his father was strict and very demanding of Rin. Isagi saw that Rin was hesitant and wasn’t ready to receive the ball. He was losing his composure and unable to focus on the goal.
Isagi realized that Rin was scared of missing the goal. His complex relationship with his father let down his confidence and built in a fear of failing inside him. Rin wasn’t really playing for himself but rather for the approval of his father, which burdened him even more.
In hopes of encouraging his teammate, Isagi decides to score himself instead of passing the ball over to Rin. He thought if Rin saw the goal with his own eyes, he would be motivated to do so himself the next time.
Isagi also was under the pressure of winning against Team Z, so this became the most efficient choice to make. Passing to Rin while he’s still insecure would probably waste the little time they had, so he decides it is best to aim for the goal.
He also wanted to be the last one to strike and win the final match of Blue Locket. This would give Isagi the fame and recognition he had been waiting for.
