We will get to see Kaiser and Ness’ backstory starting from Blue Lock Chapter 242. Kaiser has achieved his goal for what he came to the Neo-Egoist League. He wanted to get an offer from a big club so he could defeat Noa in a fair and square match and become the world’s best striker.
However, he can’t just leave yet, knowing that Isagi defeated him. So his first priority is to crush Isagi before he crushes Noa. And on the other hand, we have Igaguri, who has gotten a single chance to play in the Neo Egoist League.
If you don’t know, Igaguri is Blue Lock’s author’s favorite, so there is no way he is going to cast him aside. And now that Isagi has motivated him, he will work hard enough to get into playing eleven. And fans will now love to see him playing in the Neo-Egoist League.
As of November 2023, Blue Lock is the top-selling manga in Japan for 2023. And it would still be the top-selling manga until the end of the year since the second place is 2 million copies behind, so there is no way Jujutsu Kaisen is going to overtake it unless it releases a new volume, which is not going to happen.
Blue Lock has taken the year 2023. However, I think the Ubers VS Bastard Munchen match had a downfall for the manga since it was dragged for too long. But now the author and the mangaka have one more chance to make up for it, and that is PxG VS Bastard Munchen.
And if you are wondering when the next chapter of the shonen-sports manga, Blue Lock, will be released, then do not worry because, in this article, we will cover the release date of Blue Lock Chapter 242 with some predictions and where you can read it.
Spoilers/ Prediction & Review
Starting from the next chapter, we will see Kaiser and Ness’s story of how they got into the world of football. Since the next chapter is part one, there will be more than one chapter to cover their backstory.
By seeing the last page, where they show a glimpse of Kaiser’s backstory, it seems like it is going to be a sad one. I think once this backstory ends, we will have one or two chapters on Isagi on how he can crush Rin and Kaiser at the same time.
Since Kunigami wasn’t that active in this match and was just fooling around most of the time, maybe we will see him getting serious since he knows that Shidou plays for PxG. He will not let this chance of getting revenge on him.
Even though Shidou is benched, he will somehow get the chance to play in the next match, as the fans will be disappointed if they don’t get to see him. And Shidou and Kunigami are one of the best rivals in Blue Lock, so it would be a waste not to use this opportunity.
I have a feeling that Igaguri will play in this match. Not as the starting eleven, but as a substitute when there will be a need for replacement. At first, I also used to hate Igaguri, but after the latest chapter, my respect for him increased, and I would love to see him play in the next match.
