Taiki and Kishi ended up developing a friendship amidst their summer vacation to everyone’s surprise in Blue Box Chapter 159. But it won’t just be them that is gonna be taking all the fun out of summer vacation. After all, there is a bittersweet tale being woven in the side, and one that may lead to tears with the characters involved.
Kishi was prudent in having a match with Taiki after he learned that Taiki and Chinatsu were going out. Kishi thought he and Taiki were of the same cloth but Taiki was doing much better than he had thought. This made him envious and a desire to show Chinatsu that Taiki is lesser of a man than he.
Taiki took on the competition begrudgingly but got into it once the thrill of winning and losing kicked in. The two had nine competitions, and out of eight of them, they came out as equal, to Kishi’s frustration. However, we also got to see Ayame getting frustrated but her reason for feeling that was learning about Kyo having a relationship.
When Taiki and Kishi were in the last competition, the challenger gave his all, thinking that he wouldn’t lose that one at all. However, Taiki stopped midway to pick something, leading to Kishi’s victory, but Taiki’s gesture changed things. Taiki got the necklace that Kishi held dear and that was the point when Kishi revealed his true self and asked Taikit to act selfish from time to time.
