Despite launching in 2015, Bloodborne sold an estimated 251,000 copies on PS4 in 2026, generating $4.4 million in revenue, according to data published by Alinea Analytics in its October 30, 2026, report on horror games. The figures show that FromSoftware’s action RPG continues to attract buyers more than a decade after its original release, even as much of its recent sales come at discounted prices.
Alinea Analytics estimates that Bloodborne has sold 10.4 million copies through PlayStation and generated approximately $317 million in gross revenue over its lifetime. The game was originally released as a PS4 exclusive in March 2015 and became known for its challenging combat, interconnected world, and unsettling blend of gothic and cosmic horror.
The analytics firm also estimates that 5.7 million players accessed Bloodborne for the first time through PlayStation Plus. Subscription access has helped introduce the game to a wider audience beyond those who purchased it outright.
Bloodborne Players Also Play Elden Ring and Dark Souls
The report also highlights an overlap between Bloodborne players and fans of other FromSoftware games. Alinea Analytics estimates that nearly 500,000 people played Bloodborne during October 2026 at the time of its analysis. Among these players, 12% also played Elden Ring, while 6% played Dark Souls 3 and 5% played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
These figures suggest that Bloodborne continues to appeal to players familiar with FromSoftware’s other challenging action games. However, the data measures overlapping player activity, not confirmed purchases of those other titles.

One reason for the game’s enduring reputation is its distinctive setting. The city of Yharnam combines Victorian-inspired architecture with grotesque monsters and cosmic horror, while its interconnected streets reward exploration. Its aggressive combat system also encourages players to attack rather than rely entirely on defensive strategies.
According to the official PlayStation game page, players explore a cursed city filled with dangerous creatures and uncover the mysteries behind its spreading illness. The game’s combination of atmosphere, challenging encounters, and environmental storytelling has helped it remain a notable entry in FromSoftware’s catalogue.
The latest sales estimates do not confirm plans for a remake, sequel, or performance upgrade. They do, however, show that Bloodborne continues to generate sales long after its release, even without a new entry in the franchise.
