NAACP Image Awards are the United States of America based awards. They are presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Like Oscars, they too have around forty categories of awards, and the winners are voted by the members of awards organization.
This year NAACP Image Awards was broadcasted worldwide, and most of the honors were swept away by Black Panther movie. But Micheal Jordan backed the best supporting actor award for Black Panther movie. Another award won by the Black Panther cast was the best-supporting actress one who went to Danai Gurira who played General Okoye beating Black Panther co-stars like Lupita Nyong’o and Lititia Wright.
The wardrobe of awards for Black Panther also included the Best Ensemble Cast award as well alone with the best director award which was taken home by Ryan Coogler.
Some of the other awards this awesome movie won were the best soundtrack and best duo awards. The most important award that this movie won was the best picture award which kind of seems obvious after the movie swept home most of the awards at the ceremony.
There is a piece of awesome news for the Black Panther fans that the sequel is already in development and award-winning director Ryan Coogler will return along with the most of the cast.
